Riding The North Coast

I thought it would be a great idea to show those who visit the North Coast UMCI Blog of just what its like to ride with the North Coast UMCI Members. I have included random pictures of the great area we have to ride in.

This is a familiar stop for us along Hwy 101 overlook near Cannon Beach.

Same location looking North towards Cannon Beach.

The Easiest Rider!

Lining up at the overlook for a photo opportunity.

Ann, Vickie and Joy. I don't know what they are doing but probably checking a map to make sure we stay on course.

Some of us are more secure in their Manhood than others!

Ahh! The Vader Store or what we call the Vader loop. We make a loop out of Longview, Vader, PE Ell, Raymond and back to Astoria...

This is Dick, Don and Tim at the Overlook to the Young's River Falls..

You can't see it in this picture but it is actually raining.. But what else is new in ASTORIA!!

The Blue House Cafe near Vernonia. You can get a fancy sandwich here and a good cup of coffee.

They have a outside deck to eat on.

We just meet for a ride and head out!

Here we are leaving Mo's in Cannon Beach for a ride! We also meet at Mo's the 4Th Sunday of every month at 8am for breakfast. That's Dick Czmowski and Gus Poynter looking on.

View of the River from the Tillamook Forest Center.

Joy Roehr on the bridge at the Tillamook Forest Center. Nice hat Joy!

Waiting for the Ferry at Westport Oregon. A 10 minute ferry ride will take you to Cathlamet Washington where you can get a good lunch.

It's allot of fun to take the Ferry and only costs $2 Jim Thornton hanging on to his Harley....No you don't really have to hang on to your bike on the Ferry but Jim has become very attached!

Ann Blair posing for the photo.....

What a day. I don't remember what day of the year this was but the sun was out and wind was not blowing... Great!

Jim and Katie at Oceanside Oregon....

You guessed it we had lunch here in Oceanside. Like most we ride to eat and eat to ride!

The Oregon Coast on a Clear Day....

This picture was taken on top of Mt. Hebo... It still had snow on it. and was a bit windy... Ann Blair and Jim Roehr.

Gus checking out the view from Mt. Hebo...I think that is Mikes head......

Doug Barker, Don Schneider and Al Speidel..

Jim Roehr at the Tillamook Rest Area....

Dave and Mary Hill camping out at Tygh Valley. We have a annual 4th of July campout here each year.

More campers have arrived at Tygh Valley. We usually can expect anywhere from 80 to 125 people at this campout. Some bring their RV's and spend a week riding the area.

Katie Scarborough with Dave Hill looking on.

Back roads near Tygh Vally...

From Tygh Valley we take day rides to Mt. Hood.

Taking a ride to Mt. Hood for lunch on the 4th of July weekend.

Great roads to ride in all directions from Tygh Valley.

Jim and Joy Roehr near Tygh Valley...

The local Indians have fishing platforms along this river. I think there is a fee for stopping and taking a photo in designated areas?

Road to Mt. Ranier.

A mountain Lake Mt. Ranier.

Mt. Ranier beautiful riding country.

Mt. Ranier was the maiden voyage for our 2006 Harley Davidson.
